Sample review

Sugargoo sample review guide

A sample is useful when a supplier row looks promising but the buyer still needs confidence in material, finish, sizing, packaging or repeat-order consistency before moving into a larger order.

Use samples for risk, not decoration

Do not request a sample only because a product is interesting. Use it when the final order depends on texture, stitching, hardware, color, print placement, measurements, box condition, weight or seller consistency. A sample row should answer a specific question.

Sample notes to collect

  • Reason: material check, batch comparison, size test or package proof.
  • Photo request: angle, close-up, tag, label, measurement or box photo.
  • Decision: continue, compare another source, change option or stop.
  • Repeat use: whether the sample supports one order or future restocks.

Sample review questions

What should a sample prove?

It should prove the uncertain part of the order: material, color, size, finish, logo placement, packaging, working condition or supplier consistency.

Can sample proof replace QC photos?

No. Sample proof helps choose a supplier, while QC photos still help confirm the actual item that reaches the warehouse.

When does a sample justify a larger order?

When the sample matches the listing, the seller can repeat the same option, packaging is acceptable and the shipping route still makes sense for the expected quantity.
