MOQ and quantity

Sugargoo MOQ checklist

MOQ can change the real buying decision. A source that looks cheap for one unit may require a quantity, mixed-option rule or packaging condition that affects total cost and shipping risk.

Confirm quantity before treating a row as ready

Record the required quantity, whether variants can be mixed, whether the seller accepts a sample, and what happens if the selected option is out of stock. MOQ also affects package size, domestic freight, return flexibility and how much proof the buyer should request before payment.

MOQ fields to record

  • Minimum: units required for this price or supplier agreement.
  • Variant mix: whether colors, sizes or models can be combined.
  • Sample rule: whether one piece is possible before larger ordering.
  • Fallback: refund, replacement, alternative color or supplier switch plan.

MOQ questions

Is MOQ always shown clearly?

No. Some listings show wholesale pricing but hide mixed-option rules or sample limits. Record the assumption and confirm before treating the row as ready.

Why does MOQ affect shipping?

More units can increase volume, packaging, weight and route sensitivity. The lowest item price can lose value if the parcel becomes expensive or difficult to ship.

When is a higher MOQ acceptable?

It can make sense when the buyer has strong supplier proof, a tested sample, repeat demand and a clear route plan for the final package.
